The Black-capped Chicadee is one of the tamest and friendly of song birds. It is found throughout the northern US and Canada south of the tundra. This full size bird sits on a totally carved branch of pussy willow with it's branch fabricated from brass rod. It leans on a found piece of drift wood and stands about 12 inches high. This carving placed 1st in the Buckhorn Wood Show. 3rd in the Loyalist Carving Show in Belleville, Ontario and HM in the Canadian National Wildfowl Carving Show in Kitchener in 2005.
